The Bremerton Foodline strives to utilize community resources to provide help to those in our community that need help. There are many ways that the community can provide help. Donating money, food, gifts, and/or time are a few of the ways the community can help.
Donate Funds – Donated funds allow BFL to:
- Buy perishable foods that are not supplied via donations.
- Buy non-perishable foods to supplement donations.
- Fund special needs discussed under Other Services.
- Pay necessary operating costs for running BFL.
How to Donate:
- Bring a donation directly to BFL.
- Mail a check to: Bremerton Foodline, P.O. Box 824, Bremerton, WA 98337
- Designate your Combined Federal Campaign donation to BFL number 31086.
- Donate online via PayPal (BFL pays a small fee for this service).
Donate Food and Other Goods
Donated food is a major source of food that BFL distributes to community clients. See our list of recommended items needed [link].
Donate Time
There are many different tasks that need to be done to operate BFL. From greeting clients, helping with food baskets, to loading trucks and stocking food in the ware house. Most of the work is done by volunteer workers. If you would like to volunteer, complete the volunteer application and bring it to BFL.
Fund Raising
BFL welcomes community help with fund raisers. If you have an activity in mind, please contact BFL so we can help coordinate and advertise your activity.
Food Drives
Food drives organized by community groups are an important source of food products needed for distribution to the BFL clients. For more information on food drives see this [link]
Would you be interested in coordinating a Food Drive for Bremerton Foodline? If you do please contact Monica Bernhard or Susan Robinson at 479-6188 to advise us of the dates of the drive and the your organization contact information. If needed, we can pick up the food donations at the conclusion of the drive. For a list of common products that we need throughout the year see this [link]. In addition, you might consider doing a toys or stocking stuffer drive for the holidays or a drive to collect personal hygiene products such as brushes, shaving supplies, soap, shampoo, deodorant, tooth brush and toothpaste, etc. Thanks for your commitment to our community!
In Kind Gifts and Product Donations
Product donations by community businesses are a very important source of food products needed for distribution to BFL clients. If you are a local business and wish to help your community, contact us at BFL.
Become a Member of the Board of Directors
The Board of Directors serve for a three year term and serve as the governing body of the BFL. If interested, please submit an application for evaluation and review. Board of Directors application.
